Movie Poster Clichés


Jackomatic has catalogued a set 15 Hollywood movie poster clichés, including the Giant Eye, which usually signals horror.


...and the dramatic back-view silhouette, which suggests the lonely vigilante.

They forgot the most hackneyed of all movie poster cliches: two head shots placed side by side, only half of each is visible.

I love how Mondo is breaking the mold with their illustrated licensed movie posters. There is some good work being done here.
