Abbott Color Wheel



Russ Abbott is launching a Kickstarter campaign for a gamut mask tool that lets tattoo artists select exactly the color scheme they want from the wide range of available ink colors.

Personally, I'd love to buy a traditional painter's gamut mask and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of others are interested. Was/is there ever a buyable version you've considered? Or do you think it's more beneficial for us to create one of our own (like i have, flimsy though it may be)?

Allen, No, I've never made a commercially available wheel. There is a free digital version that my friend Richard Robinson has made, which you can find here: http://www.livepaintinglessons.com/gamutmask.php

I think it's a good exercise to paint your own color wheel and cut your own masks. Making a working sample is half the learning process.
